# Slim 5 planned in near future?

I want to upgrade my application from slim 3 to slim 4 this year and now I see the slim5 tag on github. Is there already a roadmap for slim5?

No, I do not think they are planning for Slim 5 in near future.

If you care about a decent tool, you should not complain.  
If you prefer a Swiss knife with plenty of gadgets maybe Slim is not a right choice for you?

Long term, stable and solid code base brings but advantages on the table, both for you and for your clients.

How many times you were forced, after few months of development, to inform your client that the code he payed for is outdated? Frequent case related to Symfony.

Not convincing? Look at the worst case scenario of javascript world.

What would you prefer, write again the old app under the new framework or its version, or focus yourself each time on a new challenge?
