Guys, since I’m currently looking for a job, I recently received a recruitment task that required using CodeIgniter4 to build a few features.
Since I dealt with CodeIgniter3 a loooooooong tiiiiiiiime ago (now they only share the name), and the deadline was very tight, I fired up opencode (believe it or not, but it’s the best agent out there right now), wrote skills compliant with the C4 documentation, and it turned out surprisingly well (I’ve just been invited to discuss the assignment).
What do you think about doing something similar for the best framework in the world, SLIM4?
Does AI ans AI agents help that much ? I believe they can be helpful with no-brain repetitive task but some time are useful just to lose time or help one to shoot his own foot. Also it could take a bit of time to craft the killer prompt for it not to make like 50 back and forths.
It is surely a great tool but is it THAT great ?
I mean I see some entities like throwing their entire codebase and rewriting it entirely with AI. Not sure it is the right bet, still a bet tho. And also claims (with mythos for instance) that tech and especially softwares are really threatened by those tools.
What are your thoughts ?

Recently I had a job interview. The technical part consisted of adding some feature to an existing saas, I had no clue about, neither from user’s nor dev’s experience.
And yes, it was a f…ing symfony.
I set up opencode, first to engage few strictly specialized sub-agents to create kind of descriptive scaffold of the project.
Than there was two additional agents (coder and critic) hooked and prompted with received task. All, meaning harness’ setup and coding took less than 4 hours.
The code of the feature was accepted and I got a contract draft.
It was full of red flags, like Fukushima power plant before a reactor explosion.
Each and everyone of my suggestions for changes were rejected.
I told them to go and f…ck themselves.
To sum up: yes, the right agents setup within the harness can be surprisingly effective.
Still, in many cases, it is not all you need.
